I remember a few years back, there were some people who were calling for the govt to remove the plaque on the base of the statue because they said they didn't want the tired and huddled masses any more. How selfish the people of America have become! It just makes me sick.

Yeah,
Customs and Imigration seem to punish those who try to follow the rules. We went through all that when my wife came over here. The good news is that we will have to go through all that again soon as her green card will expire in another year or two.
I can't wait! :(

"take her down"= dismantle, disassemble --> "Lady Liberty"
