Hello Mark,

I only discovered your blog through Friends of Missional last week. So far...so good! Acutally, I've just adopted the term missional as a self-description. Seems to fit where I am at and the work God has for me to do.

Mark,
I don't remember exactly where I found your blog but im sure it was something related to new monastic communities. I think it was a link from someone elses site. My name is Eric Judge, I live in Anchorage Alaska and go to the only mennonite church in town. I have read your blog for about a month and a half I think, commented a couple of times but mostly just read. If I commented and got into the discussion on the blogs i read the internet would take up far to much space in my life. I read your blog becuase I am interested knowing how life works out in an intentional christian community and becuase I like your anabaptis/anarchist perspective on culture etc. I enjoy reading. Good luck on your book, may God bless you and your wife and your community in the coming year.

Thanks Jane. Fair enough--I do need to balance out the masculinity of my links. I wonder if the lack of links to female bloggers is because I subconsciously connect more, somehow, with male bloggers or if it is because there aren't as many female emerging bloggers. I'll have to ponder that...

One thing that could remedy the situation a bit would be if you started a blog and sent me the link :)

i've been a sporadic reader since a few months after you started blogging (only reading specific blogs when you asked me to or when a group of our friends would reference something you blogged about that I hadn't read). recently I've actually been keeping up with your posts.

reading your blog reminds me of hearing your thoughts on long walks and car trips. the walks and the trips are still my favorite format, just for the record.

I originally found you surfing, and think I stumbled upon you by a now non-exisitant website that listed emergent communities all over the country. I visited virtually for a long time - then finally attended a Theology Pub. Lurking ever since. I am not super smarty enough to understand your lingo sometimes, so I tend not to comment. But - I try to keep coming back, because I know that every once in a while, I understand what you are saying, and it's good food to chew on. I'm in the cities, and will continue to hold you and yours in prayer. Bless you.

I don't think you'd have any problem finding things to blog about (your work is unique, your church experience is unique, and the stuff you have to put up with from your husband is unique). I'll even help you set it up.

I'm not sure if you told me the URL or if I found it through searching for InterVarsity on technorati. I've been reading since late summer/fall. I read because you make me think, and I want to hear about your Missio Dei stuff. Also staff blogs are rare, and staff blogs of people within the support-gathering process are rarer.

Hey Mark. I've been reading for almost two years now i think....i'm pretty sure i de-lurked last year as well. I read cos you've got a rare ability to be critical without coming anywhere close to defensive or whiny. And the fact that you "play well with others" when it comes to the Church universal is pretty inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mark, yes I am a "lurker" sort of look through the curtain from time to time look and see what's happenin'. I live in Victoria, British Coloumbia...a little island off the west coast of Canada.
